So far I’ve been taking the Flintstones Complete and Viactiv Calcium Chews. Both taste great and are an excellent source of necessary vitamins and nutrients. I’ve been too nervous to swallow anything large so chewing has worked great for me. Let’s start a poll…what are YOU taking?

Hi there, saw you on LBT and wanted to see your blog and say hi! I take a store-brand adult chewable vitamin and store-brand chewable calcium which is a knockoff of Viactiv. So far so good although I forget to take the Viactiv sometimes. Tastes like a Tootsie roll to me. The chewable vitamins, though, not so much. At least if I’d gotten Flintstones I’d have more flavors; these are just orange.
Hi GC! Thanks for writing. I think the reason I like my vitamins so much is because they taste like candy…and yes – the viactivs do taste just like tootsie rolls! I like the flintstones ones although they are a bit grainy. I got mine at costco – very cost effective!
Liquid Vitamins are great! I take Liquid Centrum. It tastes good, and you get everythign you need for the day. I usually mix it with milk or a protien shake if I don’t take it by spoon. –Something worth trying.
Peace,
maggie
Ahhh – good idea, maggie! do you mind me asking what type of protein shakes you have? do they taste good? how many calories/fat/carbs do they have?

DArn…you reminded me to take my vitamins. I’m 5 months out and can take a regular centrum multivitamin. I don’t take calcium due to a history of kidney stones. I just try to get 1000-1200 mg from food.
Ooh my – I’ve had kidney stones, as well…calcium deposits. I didn’t make the connection that taking calcium vitamins could = a higher chance of returning stones. Wow – good point. No more tootsie rolls (viactivs) for me!!!
I’m also taking Liquid Centrum.
Dear Lisa,
Thank you for your Blog!! I am waiting for my ins. approval but everyday I read on the net…one can never have too much info in this case!
Congrats on your banding and thanks for sharing!!! I was surprised at what you are drinking so soon…not all clear stuff!
By the way, your diagrams are tops! Keep us posted
Hi Amsderb – best of luck on your insurance – I’m sure it will come through soon! Thank you for your kind words – and stay tuned for more as I recover and shed the lbs!
I take the Flinstones Vitamins. Recently I have thought about buying some of the Viactives for Calcium. Viactiv actually has a complete vitamin so maybe I can consolidate. I thought I would get enough calcium with the shakes, but I probably only drink an average of 3 a week. I’ve drug my feet on buying the Viactivs because of the calories.
I guess I’m officially obsessed, I’ve admitted to checking the calories on vitamins….
I check the calories on vitamins…cough syrup, you name it!
