Hi Ms Robbie! I am so happy that the blog has helped you - that's exactly what it's here for! We sound very similar as far as being on Atkins - losing weight and gaining it back (although you kept it off for a lot longer than i did)! As far as the question about the percentage...can anyone here help out with that? I'm not an expert on lapbands...just a lil' ol' blogger. Mr. Robbie - I am very jealous that you are such a good cook. I have about 5 dishes that I can make and that's about it. You must post some of your favorite recipes to my blog! And I'm sure your husband will come around when he sees how super sexy you look!!!

Howdy from Texas!

I love your blogs- :)

I am being banded on April 16th. A little scared, but your information has helped me.

I am 47 and now weigh 240. I too lost weight on Atkins and kept 35-40 lbs off for 2 years....just got so tired of the limited diet...( don't want eggs any time soon!)

I am concerned about the mental part of the diet. I mean for all my life, I have been addicted to overeating....My skinny husband can't understand the big deal...just push back the plate...but if it were only that easy.

I wonder how it will be when I go out to eat -I don't want to be a party pooper. Also right now I am a wonderful southern cook. ( Think Paula Deen) My husband worries that I won't want to have anything to do with food.

It helps to know that others have gone down this same path.

Question: The packet from the DR. says that I can expect to lose 30% of my excess weight.. I need to lose 100 lbs to be 140- ( I am 5'6) but have never been that small. Should I expect to lose only 30 lbs? That's all I can do? Seems like we would be really tiny eating a few oz's per day compared to what I intake now.

How are you feeling now?

Thanks,
Ms Robbie
