Since the lap-band my bmi has dropped from 37.5 to 31.9. Once I hit below 30 I’ll be out of obesity and into the “overweight” category. Who would have thought someone would be so excited to be overweight!
Last night I ate some beans with no problem. For some reason I thought beans would give me trouble but nope – mushy and good and lost 0.4 lb today. I’ll post photos from my weekend tonight – lots of fun!

mmmmmmmm beans………
Hi Lise,
I know its been awhile since you last heard from me, well I have been having some problems, it all started with my first fill taking about 2 hours because they were not able to find the opening to my port to give me a fill. My second fill was pretty much the same, today I went in to get an x tray and they told me there is a leak in my port that was caused my the nurse attemping to find the entrance to do a fill. So now I’m waiting to hear back from TR to see when I will be scheduled for surgery again.:( and how much it will cost me they said they think about $2000. – $3000:(
On a positive note I have lost about 15 pounds:) and I have changed my eating habits.

That’s crazy Rosie. You have to pay for her mistake. I would take her to court to pay half at least. OMG, do you have to get a whole new band, or can they replace the tube only to the port? Just wondering what to expect for anything becasue I am a self pay myself. Thanks.
Christina: you and your beans!!!
Rosie: Oh my gosh – you should not have to pay for their mistake! I am shocked that you are having to pay for this. No No No!!! I am soooo sorry. But I am happy for your weight loss and eating habits. But seriously – I want to give your doc a piece of my mind!
Alice: exactly what you said!!!
Lise, just wanted to say congrats on kicking butt.
I’ve been busily sticking my head in the sand. Keep up the good fight!
Congrats on being almost overweight! LOL
I’m another NWWLS patient and have been following your blog. Congratulations on your success so far!
